Frequently Asked Questions

Here is some important information before you arrive

  1. Will there be someone to pick me up from the airport?

    Yes, airport pickup can be arranged. Once flight details are confirmed, please complete the online arrival form and select the airport pickup option. You will receive a confirmation email once the booking has been made.

  2. Will I get credit towards my degree?

    For Undergraduate UMass Lowell Navitas GSSP students, you will get the equivalent of a full year of credit (28-34 depending on major). For Graduate UMass Lowell Navitas GSSP students, you will receive 6-12 credits towards your full-time master's degree at UMass Lowell depending on your academic background

  3. Do I have to live on campus?

    For Undergraduate students, you will have to live on-campus for at least the first year of your studies, and housing is guaranteed for all students. For graduate students, you do not have to live on-campus, but the option is available if you would like. On-campus housing is guaranteed provided the housing booking form is completed by the registration deadline.

  4. Do I have access to all of the facilities on campus?

    UMass Lowell Navitas GSSP students have access to all the services and facilities at UMass Lowell because you are enrolled as a UMass Lowell student from day one. This includes free access to the Campus Recreation Center & Costello Gym, access to the campus libraries, membership to all of the UMass Lowell clubs and associations and even free tickets to all UMass Lowell collegiate sporting games!

  5. Who is my contact for when I arrive on the campus and need help to set up a bank account, phone account and have general questions?

    Our Student Services Officer will be your point of contact when you first arrive on campus. However, if you have any questions prior to your arrival, please contact the team at and one of us would be happy to help.
